Matjash Mrozewski may be the busiest creator in the city right now- premiering 4 works! A world premiere for ProArteDanza, an ensemble work for student movers at Ryerson Dances, the 5th instalment of Secret Shakespeare at Canadian Stage Company and – for Older & Reckless #40 - a solo creation for world renowned ballerina Evelyn Hart. Prolific, you might say. Evelyn Hart is passion personified. She currently teaches and mentors emerging dance lights in the art of classical ballet, assisting them as they prepare for a future professional career. In her summer intensive, she includes contemporary dance- technique, improvisation and choreography- delivered by acclaimed contemporary artists. Recently Evelyn performed new works by James Kudelka for Citadel + Compagnie and the Royal Winnipeg Ballet. Here’s what they say about working together Mat: It's been such a rewarding and inspiring 10 hours (!) spent together, and I think will make for a very moving 6 minutes on stage.
