Jane Mappin and Daniel Firth
Jane Mappin and Daniel Firth, both from Montreal, are renowned for exposing the delicate world of mental health through their dance theatre trilogy Je marche à côté de moi. They will perform part of this trilogy Il's m’ont dit at Older & Reckless #40. This is their 2nd appearance at O&R. In March 2015, they performed Lewis et Lucie, the 1st part of the trilogy, and, for his remarkable interpretation, Daniel received a Dora nomination for Outstanding Male Performance. From Jane on working with Daniel: “My partnership with Daniel began over four years ago, at a time where we were both devastated by a loss in our lives. We were drawn to work together out of a mutual need. We started timidly, hesitantly, and within hours knew that something great lay ahead. Daniel has shared and nourished my artistic world during this entire period; each time he interprets, he finds something new, curious and intriguing. I love this, and I hope it will never end.”
